A few years ago, during a time of personal hardship when she cried a lot, artist Rose-Lynn Fisher asked herself: “I wonder if all tears are the same? I wonder if tears of grief look like tears of happiness?” She proceeded to collect her tears, then others’ tears, and scrutinize them through a microscope.
Years later, The Topography of Tears is a series of 100 stunning pictures embracing the human experience: joy, grief, change, hope, onion-triggered, laughing and more… I found that just looking at those photographs was a very soothing experience. Visit Rose-Lynn’s website to see some of them.
